In HIS ONLY APPEARANCE IN ESSEX (and his last remaining event in the East of England), titan of historical fiction Robert Harris, will discuss Precipice, his new book weaving the love affair of H. H. Asquith and Venetia Stanley into the military political intrigue of Britain on the eve of the first World War. Adding a unique twist, Anna Mathias, EA Festival advisor, writer and the only grand daughter of Venetia Stanley will interview him on the evening.
Tickets are £36 and include a signed copy of Precipice (retail price £22). Doors and the bar open at 6:30 pm and the one-hour talk commences at 7 pm.
About Robert Harris
Robert Harris is the author of fifteen bestselling novels: the Cicero Trilogy - Imperium, Lustrum and Dictator - Fatherland, Enigma, Archangel, Pompeii, The Ghost, The Fear Index, An Officer and a Spy, which won four prizes including the Walter Scott Prize for Historical Fiction, Conclave, Munich, The Second Sleep, V2 and Act of Oblivion.
