“Beyond the moment”
A large-scale sculpture exhibition set amidst the verdant grounds of Hedingham Castle will launch on 31st July during the Festival. Comprised of ten or so sculptures, the installation is “a statement about the human condition in the wake of the pandemic — our relationship with the world and how we inhabit it. If there is such a thing as post-pandemic art, it can help us to make sense of the moment — and heal,” explains producer and curator, Adam Robinson.
The sculptures are mostly secreted around the Castle’s lake and a leisurely walk around them takes 15-20 minutes, providing festival goers respite from the hubbub of the stage while stimulating the mind and eye in a completely different way.
Guided Sculpture Walk
Adam Robinson will give a guided tour of the sculpture garden at 1:30 pm, 1st August, Sunday, commencing at Sculpture “1” on the map below. The walk is free and unticketed. Several of the artists including Maurice Blik, Billie Bond, Aaron MacDermott and Laurence Edwards will be on hand to introduce and talk about their pieces.
